Auricular Acupuncture

  • The Mental Wellness Collaborative Suite 201, 690 South Highway 89 Jackson, WY 83001 (map)

Join Sue Wolff PMHNP-BC to learn about auricular acupuncture, what it is used for, and how it may benefit you. During this event, you can experience auricular acupuncture. If you prefer not to be needled, seeds and beads placed in the ear can also be used.

-It involves the gentle placement of up to five small, sterilized disposable needles into specific sites on each ear.

-It is a non-verbal healing technique that is versatile, effective and economical.

-Auricular acupuncture can be easily used in any location where a group of people can sit together.

Auricular acupuncture is an intervention for trauma, substance misuse, abuse, dependence and related behavioral and mental health conditions. It is an adjunct therapy which is clinically effective, cost-efficient, drug-free and compatible cross-culturally. The combined application of acupuncture with counseling, education, medical support and self-help groups such as AA and NA enhances opportunities for success.
