The data is clear- our community and our providers need support

Did you know that The Mental Wellness Collaborative was born out of a pressing need revealed by the 2021 Behavioral Health Needs Assessment in Teton County? This assessment highlighted that both our community members and mental health providers were struggling. With about half of the providers surveyed citing peer support as the most needed resource for their practice, we recognized the urgent need to create a space where mental health providers could collaborate and ultimately ease access to care for the community.

Three years later, another survey was conducted, and as Laurie Andrews, President of the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole, noted, "the survey results are sobering." As a proud member of the Behavioral Health Alliance, The Mental Wellness Collaborative participated in presenting these findings during a town hall meeting in September 2024, where nine individuals from the alliance shared insights.
